LBPKSA

Midgard was engaged to conduct a grid impact study for a 65 MW solar project integrated with a seawater desalination plant using Reverse Osmosis technology. The study focused on ensuring compliance with electrical standards for reliable operation.
Midgard’s scope of work included:

  • Interconnection Study – Evaluated steady-state, dynamic, and transient stability.
  • Grid Impact Analysis – Assessed short-circuit levels, voltage stability, and thermal impacts under multiple scenarios.
  • Transfer Capability Assessment – Analyzed the system’s power transfer capabilities.
  • Constraint Identification & Upgrades – Identified system constraints and recommended necessary upgrades.
  • Inverter Control System Modeling – Developed inverter control strategies for safe operation and regulatory compliance.

Midgard’s analysis supported the successful integration of solar power into the desalination facility while ensuring grid stability and operational reliability.
