Midgard was engaged as a consultant to support TransEastern, a Canadian company, in the due diligence process for acquiring small hydro assets in Romania. The assessment focused on evaluating the assets’ technical and financial viability across multiple locations, including Alba County, Bistrița-Năsăud County, Vâlcea County, and Suceava County.

Midgard’s scope of work included:

  • Hydrological Modeling – Conducted detailed analysis of water flow patterns to assess long-term resource availability.
  • Energy Modeling – Evaluated potential generation capacity and performance under varying conditions.
  • Condition Assessment – Reviewed the operational status, infrastructure integrity, and maintenance history of the assets.

This analysis provided the client with critical insights to inform their acquisition decision and investment strategy.
