Project Experience

Midgard was retained by Sierra Leone Investment Corp to conduct a conceptual evaluation of the Betmai II hydroelectric storage project on the Pampana River. Building on Midgard’s long-term involvement in the Betmai I Run-of-River project, this study leveraged hydrology data from Lahmeyer and elevation data from Google Earth Pro.
The study included:

• Hydrology Modeling – Analyzed monthly inflows and potential reservoir storage capacity.
• Desktop Feasibility Analysis – Provided an initial evaluation of project viability.
• Preliminary Design Review – Assessed site suitability and basic project configuration.

This pre-feasibility study provided a foundation for further assessment and potential development of the Betmai II project.
